I had a very very poor experience when dealing with Connect2law/Muve. A few examples below. Total time from requesting services to completion 5 months. 1. During the course of my purchase I had 3 different conveyancers and 2 different account managers. Similar to other peoples advice it is extremely difficult to talk with anyone on the phone - In fact the last conveyancer did not even have a phone as one was not installed in her office and no one could see a way past this. 2. Multiple times I was told incorrect information by the account manager that progress was being made, only to find out later nothing had happened. 3. The team will wait for the post to deliver any paperwork, there was no thought of requesting it by email. I had to chase this and forward it on to save days of waiting. 4. My conveyancer was changed for the second time 10 days before completing as the previous one's contract ran out, I was not made aware of this until I phoned for an update (after no answer from emails) only to find no one working on the file. 5. I asked to speak with someone with customer services regarding my poor experience. No one has replied. Looking at the other reviews it seems you can get lucky with Muve, however, I nearly lost my purchase due mainly to poor communication. I would suggest avoiding at all costs!!

There was a change of personnel during my transaction. After the new account manager and solicitor were appointed, the purchase was swiftly completed.

It was difficult to reach my account manager, but when we spoke on the phone she was absolutely fine. I did not receive details about the steps in the process so when I was requested to complete a bank transfer on the same day, I was stressed as I had not been in the situation to do so. In the future, details regarding each step would be useful. Nonetheless, the conveyancing contact had done a really good job.

I chose to use Connect2Law for my flat purchase and lease extension as they provided an online tracker facility and were good value for money. Initially the process went smoothly and I could track updates via the client portal, but as the time came closer to exchange I could not contact my conveyancing solicitor Karen. It was discovered she had abruptly left Connect2Law which threatened to derail my property purchase. I was assigned a new conveyancing solicitor Muhammad, his efficiency and professionalism was 2nd to none. Muhammad got us to a position of exchange within 4 days and we completed 2 weeks later. I would use this service again, but would ensure I had contact with my assigned conveyancing solicitor from an earlier date to ensure there were no hiccups that could derail the process.

We used Connect2Law for our first home and had an overall decent experience. To start with everything was clear, well explained and smooth, with only downside being that their offices are not open on the weekend so we needed to go to visit them during the week for ID check. As the processes continued the lawyer (Ranjala) was great at keeping attention to detail and having our interest in the first place. All the paperwork was professional and to the point. Our questions were also fairly timely answered although we had to chase on a couple of occasions - perhaps partly due to our impatience. To improve the experience further our suggestion would be for the account manager (Alice) to be more involved and provide regular updates directly (over the phone or in person) rather than emails. Especially for first time buyers as there many things to learn about the processes, for example how dates for exchange vs completion work.

I have never been recommended a solicitor. In fact, anyone I asked said they wouldn't dream of recommending their solicitor. This is why I feel very thankful to have had Mr Gurmak Singh at Connect2Law as my solicitor!! I received no difficulties at all with Gurmak, I thought we was brilliant from start to finish. Connect2 Law has an online portal which is really helpful and updated all the time. It tells you which stage of the process you are at and what comes next, as well as uploaded documents and contact details. I never had to chase a response and was talked through everything step by step - Gurmak would be available to speak almost any time without an issue. As a first time buyer I found this really helpful and I cannot recommend highly enough :)

The completion statement included over £700 of charges that were previously paid, or charged for twice. After multiple queries they were removed, but the person I was speaking to was losing patience with me asking questions about each of the charges, which naturally I was going to query and double check. Generally, we were happy with the service and made sure the process happened as quick as possible. The online portal is useful to keep track of where you are and the next steps in the process. Communication was frequent and easy to get hold of people, however for first time buyers, the language used can be hard to understand and more sympathy to people unfamiliar with this would be beneficial.

Brilliant service from start to finish from the salesperson who started to the lawyer who helped me through out the entire case. I had alot of questions but nothing was too much for these people and thats' what sets them apart. I would happily use them again if I needed to and would advise everyone who wants a fair and thoughtful service to use this firm.
