Cos Freight Removals & Storage

I recently used Cos Freight for a permanent relocation from London to Cumbria, and they were fabulous. Charlotte Stewart was professional, supportive, understanding, reassuring and efficient right from my initial contact to them. I requested the comprehensive packing service in addition to the removals, and this was also carried out efficiently, professionally and with care. The removals team arrived exactly on time in Cumbria and patiently waited for the previous owners to leave. This was in spite of the fact that they had set off at 6am that morning, and had to drive back to London the same day! Cos Freight are excellent value for money and provide a superb service! The team - Charlotte, Otto and Oviddu were fantastic throughout the process. Charlotte was super responsive and helpful throughout the organising and process and on the moving day(s) Otto and Oviddu were incredibly efficient, logical, organised and careful. Very happy with this removal company. Good communication from the move manager and the removal team leading up to and on the moving day. We were moving from a 2 bedroom apartment on the first floor with no elevator to a house a 5-minute drive away. We paid for the packing service. We were moving on Monday and the packing team came on Sunday - most removal companies wanted to come on Friday or Saturday, which would have been fine, but it was an added bonus that we didn't need to live next to boxes for a couple of days beforehand. There were 2 packers and they did a tremendous job. They were very efficient and courteous and had packed up our whole place in about 6 hours. On the day of the removal, we had 3 low-loader Luton vans and a team of 5 movers. Again, we were really impressed with the professionalism and efficiency of the team. They were able to disassemble and reassemble furniture with ease. We were quite lucky in that we got the keys early, but we were completely finished by about 2 pm! We had a slight quibble at the end where one of the packers knocked a chair into the bedroom door and caused some minor damage. The foreman fixed the damage then and there with equipment in the van. We would definitely use them again.

Cos Freight were excellent. From the first contact with Charlotte (who was great throughout), I felt confident I was in good hands. I booked the packing service too, and the packing was carried out extremely carefully. On the day of the move everything went very smoothly. At the new house, the team could not have been more helpful, putting everything in the correct rooms, reassembling furniture, etc. They took great care with everything. This was quite a complicated, long-distance move, but Cos Freight were absolutely brilliant. They were also the best value of all the quotes I received; £1000 less than one of their competitors. I thoroughly recommend them. Thank you!

They were fast & efficient, with nothing being too much trouble. The men arrived on time both days & efficiently unloaded our items at our new address! We were very impressed.

The removalists themselves were absolutely outstanding. They made the move so smooth, we’re nice and polite and completely non judgmental (about our mess). They made the move 90% less stressful
